ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

LEARNING SHOULD OPEN DOORS, NOT PUT BARRIERS IN THE WAY.

Energy PUNK is committed to making its website, learning platform and digital training content as accessible and usable as reasonably possible.

We want learners to be able to access our content regardless of disability, access need, device or technology.

This statement explains what we are doing, where limitations may exist and how you can tell us if something is not working for you.

1. OUR COMMITMENT

We aim to make Energy PUNK content:

• Clear and easy to navigate

• Readable on desktop, tablet and mobile devices

• Compatible with commonly used browsers and assistive technologies

• Structured using clear headings and logical page layouts

• Understandable without unnecessary jargon

• Supported by alternative formats where reasonably possible

• Usable by keyboard where platform functionality allows

• Designed with appropriate colour contrast and readable text

Accessibility is considered as part of the way we design, review and improve Energy PUNK learning.

2. OUR LEARNING CONTENT

Energy PUNK learning may include:

• Written course content

• Videos

• Audio

• Images and diagrams

• Interactive activities

• Quizzes and assessments

• Downloadable documents

• Calculators and simulators

• Live webinars

• Community features

We aim to design these resources so that they can be used by as many learners as reasonably possible.

3. VIDEO AND AUDIO CONTENT

Where reasonably practicable, we aim to provide:

• Captions or subtitles for video content

• Clear spoken audio

• Supporting written information where important learning is delivered through audio or video

• Transcripts where appropriate

Some older, third-party or specialist content may not immediately include all of these features.

We will continue to improve accessibility as content is reviewed and updated.

4. IMAGES, DIAGRAMS AND VISUAL CONTENT

Where images convey important information, we aim to provide suitable supporting text or descriptions where reasonably possible.

Decorative images may not require detailed descriptions.

Complex technical diagrams may sometimes need additional explanation within the surrounding learning content.

5. COLOUR AND VISUAL DESIGN

Energy PUNK uses a distinctive visual identity, including dark backgrounds, strong contrast and brand colours.

We aim to ensure that:

• Important information is not communicated by colour alone

• Text remains readable against its background

• Fonts and sizes remain legible

• Interactive controls are distinguishable from surrounding content

• Visual effects do not unnecessarily interfere with learning

6. KEYBOARD AND SCREEN-READER USE

We aim to use platform features and page structures that support keyboard navigation and assistive technologies where available.

Some functionality is provided by third-party platforms or embedded services, and accessibility may therefore depend partly on those providers.

Where we identify significant accessibility barriers, we will look for reasonable alternatives or improvements.

7. DOCUMENTS AND DOWNLOADS

Energy PUNK may provide downloadable materials such as PDFs, guides or worksheets.

We aim to make new documents accessible where reasonably practicable.

However, some complex technical documents, legacy files or third-party documents may not fully meet every accessibility standard.

If you are unable to use a document, contact us and we will consider whether a reasonable alternative format can be provided.

8. INTERACTIVE CONTENT

Some learning activities may include:

• Drag-and-drop exercises

• Interactive diagrams

• Simulators

• Matching activities

• Embedded software

• Other visual or interactive tasks

Certain activities may present accessibility challenges for some learners.

Where possible, we aim to provide an alternative way of accessing the same learning objective or information.

If an activity creates a barrier for you, please contact us.

9. LIVE LEARNING

Where Energy PUNK provides live online learning, we will aim to make reasonable adjustments where we are told about an accessibility requirement in advance.

Depending on the session and technology used, adjustments may include:

• Providing learning material before the session

• Allowing additional time

• Providing written supporting information

• Enabling captions where available

• Considering an alternative method of participation

10. ASSESSMENTS AND REASONABLE ADJUSTMENTS

Where a learner has an accessibility need that affects assessment, Energy PUNK will consider reasonable adjustments where appropriate.

For externally approved or awarding-body programmes, adjustments may also be subject to the rules of the relevant awarding or certification organisation.

We will not make an adjustment that changes the fundamental competence or learning outcome being assessed, but we will aim to remove unnecessary barriers wherever reasonably possible.

11. THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS

Energy PUNK uses third-party technology to provide parts of its service.

These may include:

• LearnWorlds

• Video platforms

• Payment providers

• Webinar platforms

• Embedded applications

• Social media platforms

We do not control every aspect of third-party accessibility.

However, we aim to choose reputable providers and will consider accessibility when reviewing technology used by Energy PUNK.

12. KNOWN LIMITATIONS

Some content or functionality may not yet be fully accessible.

Potential limitations may include:

• Older PDFs or documents

• Complex technical diagrams

• Certain interactive activities

• Third-party embedded content

• Automatically generated captions that may require correction

• Features controlled by external platforms

We aim to improve these areas as the Energy PUNK platform develops.

13. TELL US IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM

If you find something difficult or impossible to access, please tell us.

Contact:

info@energypunk.net

Please include, where possible:

• The page, course or resource affected

• What problem you experienced

• The device or browser you were using

• The type of adjustment or alternative format that may help

You do not need to provide unnecessary medical or personal information.

We will aim to respond and consider a reasonable solution.

14. REQUESTING AN ALTERNATIVE FORMAT

If you need information in a different format, contact us at:

info@energypunk.net

Where reasonably possible, we will consider alternatives such as:

• Accessible digital documents

• Larger text

• Written transcripts

• Alternative instructions

• Another method of completing a learning activity

The appropriate solution will depend on the content and the learner's needs.

15. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Accessibility is an ongoing process.

As Energy PUNK develops, we intend to review:

• Website design

• Course templates

• Video content

• Downloadable resources

• Interactive activities

• Assessment methods

• Learner feedback

Where practical, new content will be designed with accessibility in mind from the outset rather than accessibility being treated only as a later correction.

16. CHANGES TO THIS STATEMENT

We may update this Accessibility Statement as:

• Energy PUNK develops

• New technology is introduced

• Accessibility improvements are made

• Guidance or legal requirements change

The latest version will be published on the Energy PUNK website.
